Re: NCAA 2004 Slider Discussion.

I haven't tried any sliders, but I'm having a big problem running the ball, even when I'm Miami and I'm playing Norfolk State. I'm going to do some extensive testing today and see if I can post some sliders.

My plan is to just turn everything DOWN and go from there.

I'm going to play a great, average, and poor team and post my results as soon as I'm done tweaking. Well, time to get to work.

ok, i just finished 2 games with JohnDoe's sliders, but modified. overall they're good, but for the team i was playing against, their QB (88 rating) was 15-28, 375 yd and 4 TD, which is a little high, so what do you think i could change to lower those numbers?

Here are my modified sliders so far 9 games in:

WR Catch - 13
RB Ability - 13
Run Blocking - 15

Human

QB Acc - 10 (Default)
Pass Block - 10
WR Catch - 13
RB Ability - 13
Run Blocking - 13

DEFENSE

CPU

Knockdowns - 10
INT - 8
Break Block - 9
Tackling - 8 (helps your run game slightly)

HUMAN

Awareness - 8
Knockdown - 10
INT - 10
Break Block - 9
Tackling - 8 (helps CPU running game slightly)

SPECIAL TEAMS

CPU

FGL - 10
FGA - 9 (may lower it beacuase College K's aren't very accuarte)
PL - 10
PA - 10
KOL - 11

HUMAN

FGL - 10
FGA - 9 (see above)
PL - 10
PA - 10
KOL - 11

Mind you these are really early tweaks but they feel good through 10 games. I'm going to continue to tinker.

Also, 7Words I appreciate you trying the sliders and giving feedback. That is exactly what we need. I've got your slider tweaks and I'll be trying them out. Thanks to everyone who has contributed so far.

Re: NCAA 2004 Slider Discussion.

Doesn't this make it too easy to pass? Even on default AA passing is pretty easy, as they rarely defend the middle.

Re: NCAA 2004 Slider Discussion.

These are on 8 minute all-american.

jistic, I don't really find it too easy to pass, but some people may. What part exactly are you looking at? The awareness, the lowered INT? I didn't up my QB accuracy any. I also didn't do anything to my human pass block. I don't play with powerhouse teams , so that may also affect my slider ideas.

i don't think it's that easy, quite a few of my INTs are thrown in the middle

Re: NCAA 2004 Slider Discussion.

you have to keep in mind the ratings of the players when messing with those sliders, You shouldn't be doing real good with a crappy team anyways.

I have left everything the same except:

CPU RB ability: +4
CPU Run blocking: +4
Human and CPU interceptions and knockdowns -2

Still experimenting though.
