That's because i said skill position not every position, and we are not even close to being QB "U" so i didnt list them...we have had some great ones, but not enough to be called QB "U"... and btw yu forgot to mention Jim Kelly, and Brock Berlin was not that great...

Re: What makes your favorite school a "position U"

So with 5 national titles and 2 QBs with Heisman trophies, who would you consider QB U?

Nope. Purdue is not Quarterback U. That title belongs to Michigan. Harbaugh, Griese, Leach, Brady, Girbac, Henne, Collins, Navarre.

Also, Michigan is Offensive Line U. Jon Jansen, Jon Runyan, Jake Long, Jonathan Goodwinn, David Baas, Steve Hutchinson, Jeff Backus.

And lets not get started on discussing a Wide Receiver U.

while that is certainly a strong list, and quite possibly the best, bama's is up there as well. (since 60's, since that looks like where you started)

- lee roy jordan - 62 AA, CFB HOF, NFL HOF (although he is listed as center for AA and CFB HOF)
- mike hall - 68 AA
- woodrow lowe - 73, 74, 75 AA, CFB HOF
- barry krauss - 78
- thomas boyd - 80, 81
- cornelius bennett - 84, 85, 86 AA, CFB HOF
- derrick thomas - 88 AA, NFL HOF
- keith mccants - 89 AA
- dwayne rudd - 96 AA
- demeco ryans - 05 AA
- rolando mcclain - 09 AA

also, good point about nfl branding psu lb-u. and for good reason.

as for top end talent, bama's bennett, thomas, lowe, and jordan are certainly way up there.
