I was thinking the same thing. We should be able to edit coaches names outside of the dynasty mode. That way if we start a new dynasty we don't have to name the coaches again. A Choops 2k8 copy would be great for me.

Well everybody If this thread isn't enough to have EA think about putting in a coaching carousel, Then I'll add this to the pot. I went and picked up the AthlonSports College football book late yesterday before hastings closed and in this book there has been 22 FBS new head men leading the way for programs in 2010. Well my reason for this is to show EA why this is important to the game, And to show you guys the changes that was made this year. I'm going to list it as it is was in the book.

Easy fix. Just replace the ":" with a "-"

The ":" is a part of the code for a smiley face.

And believe me, I get what you're saying. However, it's been suggested in this thread that if your OC leaves then his playbook goes w/ him... you can hire a like-minded OC but some plays will be different. While I like that and understand the realism in that thinking, there are coaches who are their own play caller and losing the OC won't affect them at all.

So having the option would be best all around, I feel. What would be cool is if they gave you the option of naming someone an OC or a QB Coach. He becomes the QB Coach if your HC is also the OC. Then that QB Coach can get hired somewhere else to be an OC after a few years as a successful QB Coach.

Basically the way I would like it is this:

Head Coach - Only

Head Coach/Offensive Coordinator

Head Coach/Defensive Coordinator

So, if your HC is only a HC, he hires an OC, a DC and a ST coach. If he's the OC as well, he hires a QB coach, a DC and a ST coach. If he's the DC as well he hires an OC, a LB {or DB or DL} coach and a ST coach.

Who knows... maybe I am making this more complicated than it needs to be. I just don't want to have a HC who is also the OC, and after several successful seasons I lose my OC and some plays that go w/ him when technically speaking, they are my HC's plays to begin with.
