All This Talk About Offensive Styles. Where Is The Defensive Style?

if yall think about it, the improvements to offense this yr is also improvements 4 defense. the reason in the past that it was hard to play defense was bcuz of the way teams blocked were not correct. now that evryone has assignments u can put ur defensive personnel in the right position to stop a play

Defense has less styles and it more subjective to the actual plays anyway..

I think the rush game is manageable on defense where it stands. The CPU AI just needs to be jacked on Rush D.

The Pass D however, needs some adjusting. The effectiveness of defensive line moves needs to be improved. When I send Suh on a bullrush I expect him to shed his one blocker. In real life he manhandled two blockers often. Even 3 at times. Once there can be a good pass rush or a little better DB AI then we'll be talkin.

Assuming locomotion works and there are animations to counter the new blocking, then defense did get an upgrade.

Madden and NCAA just NEEDS a defensive playbook overhaul. Team specific playbooks, more stunts and blitzes, single high deep safeties, actual gap control, etc etc.

I'm assuming this was what the OP was talking about when he said defensive styles.

But as far as your 1st statement goes I do agree. Locomotion should work for both sides of the ball.

ea cant make everyone happy in my opinion if people complain about the game this much why do u even bother buying it?
