It's not offical but...http://sports.espn.go.com/ncaa/news/story?id=5276668
I hope the Big 10 goes after Kansas and Missouri. That'd bring it up to 14 teams with Nebraska.

Hopefully we can grab Kansas St. and maybe an East coast team like Rutgers. Big 12 isn't going to be much if thats 5 teams leaving.

really? rutgers? blech.

i feel like the big ten really hit a home run w nebraska, but i dont see the value in adding rutgers or even kansas st.

Re: Nebraska starts big 10 play in 2011

I wouldn't expect this to be in the game. The game is for all intensive purposes done at this point in the cycle. Change the numbers of teams in conferences would have all kinds of side effects on the game so I wouldn't expect it to be patch into the game. I can live with it. We will probably get it next year.

I have had an interesting thought that I havn't seen mentioned anywhere yet. Usually when a team leaves a conference it is a 2 year wait. In this case the entire conference may break up. I am not sure if it can be done logistically but could that speed up the process. I think I see 9 of 12 teams need to vote to break up the conference to avoid some massive payouts. If 4 or 5 of these teams get left out in the cold there might be some major lawsuits. I have a feeling that some of these schools and conferences already divided up stuff behind closed doors builderburg style. This is going to be one interesting football season.

Not this year but just adjust your conferences and move Nebraska into the big ten and switch out some team that is not too great such as a Minnesota, Purdue, Indiana...

Seems like the best thing to do here is to swap out the big 10 with the big 12 obviously as long as we don't hear about anymore changes. Anyone have thoughts on a North/South breakdown as the big 10 stands now?

Actually, with what's been announced so far you'd want to switch pac10 + colorado -> big 10, big 10 + nebraska -> big 12, and big 12 -> pac 10.

Don't ask me how you'd handle BSU -> MWC.
