The replays are so repetitive? Why did they choose to have the up close views all the time, you have to have a balance with things like this or else it bores the user. The NCAA basketball 10 (RIP) presentation is much better than this. You can't eat cake for dinner, to much of something ruins it, this is what this reminds me of. It is sad when an old gen games camera options are stll better years later.

Very surprised that this poll is even this close. I really hope EA fixes this or at least appeases both crowds by using both styles of replays.

Re: One last plea: EA I implore you to reconsider the replay angles

I like the new replays to an extent -- it reminds me I am playing a new game.

But I hate when they cut away just as the receiver is breaking and whatnot. Adding one slightly longer animation that shows the play unfold while keeping the other short bits would work just fine.

Yes, we can go to the menu, but most people won't bother. Once the short quick animations get old, everyone will just click forward.

And the replays after the game ends are a step back. You get the quick cuts, but not the key plays of the game. '10 did this best of all versions.

I'm digging the demo anyway.

I HATE the hell out of them.....What the hell were they actually trying to do really? Bring you closer to the action? Why? Whats wrong with REALISTIC replay angles?

Would love to spend 2 mins with the crew who put that keen idea in the game....

And again....HATE the hell out of them. The are useless and do NOTHING for the game nor do they actual do whatever they were trying to do.

Re: One last plea: EA I implore you to reconsider the replay angles

I'm a bit torn here.

I like the replays. They're fine.

The thing about it is, I don't necessarily want my replays to be "showcasing" stuff, if you know what I mean. That seems to be what they're going for. It's this "look how cool this was" sort of thing.

What I want replays to do is explain and diagram what happened on the play; that's why TV does it the way they do - because they show how the play developed, etc. - not because they can't. The aim between the two mediums is entirely different.

That seems to be a disconnect, Russ and them saying "we can do stuff they can't on TV," to me that means "we can have the camera ON THE BALL! HOW COOL!" And sure, it's kinda cool, it's just not what I want from my replays. It's not the purpose of a replay to be flashy and cool; like others have said, the purpose of a replay is show play-development and the logistics of why a play succeeded or failed.

Re: One last plea: EA I implore you to reconsider the replay angles

I don't hate them, but they're definitely not my first choice for how I'd want a replay. Maybe if, say 70% of the replays were traditional angles and 30% were extreme closeups I'd be okay wit it.

It's funny, but the replay angles remind me of the default camera in Backbreaker.

They definitely need to rethink using the low angle stuff exclusively.

EA needs to use these low angles as complimentary pieces as in nba 2k10. TV style replays would enhance the espn presentation even further.

I didn't think I was going to like them, but so far I think they look good
