So now theres no 99 in the nation, or a 98. the 95 to 97 has lost 3 from last year but cant say thats a huge change. the 91-94 bracket had a jump of 10 tho, and the 87-90 looks strong as ever.

Year 2010 2013 2014
A 12 1 0
B 55 23 22
C 35 49 56

School overalls changed very little. no A's but thats only a loss of one school.

I just felt sinking feeling in my chest... I knew this was going to happen, People complained about progression too much, and now EA overcompensated by nerfing player progression and incoming recruits, creating a homogenized mess of B and C teams, ugh. Maybe this is just my opinion, but this just kills dynasty for me, at least anything over 3-4 years. Maybe this is an overreaction, but my enthusiasm for this game cut has just been cut in half.

It's better than the alternative that we have had in the past. 30 players at 99 overall after 3 years of dynasty, I'll take this over that any day.

Eh it made me much more excited for the game. Last year you would have like 300 guys over 90 ovr.

I agree.. EA had to do something. Was it middle ground all the way? No, but i'll rather have a bunch of B's and C's than teams who should be A's being so and having 300 99 ovr's after 2 years

Does the rating really matter though if you still have dominant teams? I mean, if you start getting a bunch of 2 or 3 loss teams at the end of every season, then I would agree. But if you have undefeated or 1 loss teams still playing for the title every year, what's it matter if they're both rated B?

I get where you're coming from but this is crazy, 0 teams rated at least an A-, that's insane. I think they should just make sliders or something that let the player determine the progression rates, that way it's not too high or to low, but whatever you want it to be.

Re: The official 2011 progression thread

i agree with the georgia fan and believe 100% that this is great news. would i like to have more a teams? maybe a few more. but its a very delicate balance, especially with EA in charge. ill take this over last year.. and effing smile while doing it. the real test comes this next 2 years, when the true recruits come thru the system. a lot of kids left early as one poster mentioned, and caused a huge rash of average players in one season
