I just read this a few minutes ago. What does everyone think about this? I'm more of a sim player so I'm not concerned but I imagine this will cause a lot of controversy since i saw a lot of posts from people excited that they could do it in the demo.

If it's removed it shouldn't be a problem, or so one would hope.

They intentionally and publicly removed it between NCAA '09 and NCAA '10. Your quote says it all. It's supposed to be removed (again, it was removed over a year ago) and there was some exploit in the demo that allowed it to be done again so they removed it.

I havent played NCAA online since.....DOnt remember, maybe not even this generation of consoles, but anything thats cheese being removed is great i guess.

Why does it need to be removed? Can happen IRL, therefore should happen ITG. This on the basis of rocket catches being when you can turn your guy around towards the ball and the go up to make the catch. These happen A LOT in the endzones as well. This was, therefore, my biggest disappoinment :-/

Its really too bad that they had to get rid of strafe catching because of rocket catching. I feel like WR control should be out of the User's hands because it simply makes the game more sim and enjoyable... For me at least.

i'm hoping the jump ball is still in the game and something that was making it easy to do it was takin out. would love a better explanation .

don't most people gripe about rocket catching? seems like the removal is a good thing.

the entire list of changes from demo to retail is impressive as all hell to me. game is going to be excellent.
