Anyone know why is there an "Embargo" by EA??

I wish EA would move up the release of the game to the Friday before July 4th. That'd be awesome to have a 3 day weekend with the game for EVERYONE, not just those lucky enough to get it early.

My best guess is there is nothing left to learn feature-wise. At this point, two weeks before release, the hype train has left the station. Personally, if I were a marketer, I would do a "one more thing" one week before release, but most companies don't do that. They get info out early and coast late.

There's a lot to learn. I posted 15 questions about online features and no one knew the definitive answer to any of the 15. And I agree with you mrprice, this period right here should be when they should be drumming up the hype, not silencing everyone.

well there are of course still specifics to be worked out, but big-picture features (dynasty wire, introductions, playbooks, espn) are all out there. there's nothing else *big* to know.

Yeah man and in the grand scope of things they are already pretty close to getting it to us by July 4th. People here will probably start finding copies locally around July 7th now anyways. It could become an annual tradition...fireworks, hot dogs, hamburgers, beer and NCAA xx.

As for the embargo, I truly believe there holding something out on us. What that something is I have no idea. But, I definitely think theres something else.
