I would love to think all of these stores are just throwing up smoke screens over the phones, but until people start acquiring the game with any sort of regularity I'm afraid that there will be a lot of us waiting until Tuesday.

Yea I was going to head over there first thing Saturday morning. I know they can only say so much over the phone, but the GB location almost always gets them early.

The only difference is...last year they guys over the phone admitted they had them early, and said how many copies they had left.

The place in NW Ohio really isn't getting it until Tuesday.

That's a major bummer for them.

If you hear any differently please post on the board. I was in there today and they seemed pretty upset about their shipment being delayed because that's probably thousands of dollars in lost revenue for them.

I don't even understand why EA would ship so late. They already admit that a site like OS caters to "only a small percentage" of its target base and sales. After all we are "hardcore" demographic vise the casual gamer . They are also trying to cut into the money that Gamestop makes off used games sales with the online pass. Why not ship to the mom and pop spots and let them. I mean in years past memebers of EA staff would talk about the humor they found in these threads and reading about the "hunt" for early copies. Hell, last year Madden had a message congratulating players who "scored a copy early." It seems like that have done a complete 180 on breaking street dates this year IMO.
