I grew up with the D-pad on Sega Genesis. It took me forever to use the sticks and it was probably on the PS3 before I ever did, but now I'm glad. Movement is much more fluid using the sticks. It's definitely worth the switch.

Yeah I grew up with the D-pad and so after reading a few replies to this post I decided to try the left stick to move and it is a HUGE difference to me. There is no odd, weird or jerky (mmmm jerky) movements when you change direction.

It is so much more precise and I was able to make my way through the smallest gap which I could not do before. This is cool.
