Recruiting the Athlete

What's your guys feeling, strategy, etc or recruting athletes?

I like recruiting athletes who are DB's but can catch, ala Charles Woodson. I dont remember many recruits from past NCAA's, except one I got on 08. He was a corner that could catch. He came in as a starter at corner and was good enough to be my #2 WR. His speed was 98, so instead I kept him in the slot, and he could return punts. He won the Heisman his junior year w/ 15 interceptions and 10 total TD's.

I just enjoy recruiting athletes no matter what, though I'm disappointed by athletes that can only play DB. I also wish you could find LB/HB athletes. I know before I've found DE/HB athlete before.

Back on NCAA 08 I had an athlete that could play QB, MLB, SS, and CB. Redshifted him for you at the SS position. He played as the nickel back and made all-conference and freshman all-american. Junior and senior years at SS he was first team all-american.

I love recruiting athletes as well but I am picky about who I go after.

I hardly recruit athletes. Can you actually get a guy who can play multiple positions well? If so I need to start recruiting them this year.

You should be able to, canes21. You just have to really pay attention to individual ratings. Sometimes, though, it won't show that on the overall rating, thats why I say pay attention to individual ratings

I normally use it to find OL/DL DB's/WR. I probably recruit more Athletes to be safeties than anything else.
