Re: Recruiting Thoughts
ive had the game since friday. im in week 2 of season 4 of a tennessee dynasty now. the first year was had and its gotten a little easier as i win 8 to 9 a season and my coach prestige is increasing. here are my thought after 3 full seasons recruiting.
dont overpopulate your board. as tennessee i will target 12 players strong. 6 offense and 6 defense.
try to stay with players in your top 5. if there's a 4 star thats 6 on your list and a 3 star thats 1, go with the 3 star or you will probably not make up enough ground.
after the top 15 which is all 4 and 5 stars at positions of need i will have 6 3 stars and a few lowly 4 stars. then two guys who are number one on my list.
i then spend 50 minutes on the top 5, 40 on 6 to 12 and the rest get points based on looking at the prospects info.
you must hit the more info button on each player each week and view the schools of interest. this way you can see which of your players the computer teams are backing off of. when you notice youre running away with a player...you know you dont have to waste as much time on him because the computer cant catch up with one week.
i stress going hard after a top 12 and then have a few 3 stars that noone else is going after. then once offseason starts you should be able to get another half dozen or so.
i have had one season with more than 20 commits and it was with this system.
im going to try just going for the ten best players interested in me and give each 60 every week. i just want to see if you can get anyone you want if you spend the max on them from beginning to end.
