Running the football in NCAA 11

I downloaded and played the demo quite a bit this weekend. I really struggle running the ball. Sweeps mostly get shut down by a sprinting LB or DB. Runs between the tackles usually get 2-3 yards maybe...

Any tips on how to improve this? I know this year's game is different, but I can't seem to figure out how to run it.

I got the game early and have been playing on Heisman and I found that running seems way too easy right to. My backs average 6.5+ ypc which has been a problem. You have to run to the hole that the play is designed for and be very patient with your blockers.

my suggestion to you is go into game controls and turn auto sprint on. It eliminates the need for you to jam on the sprint button or use the sprint button at all. This will allow you to really see your holes open up and make sure you are allowing your blocks to develop. follow them. Look for more that are setup ahead of you etc. Just practice that for 2-3 games and you will catch on fast.

hope that helps

I was going to say the same exact thing. My first two weeks with this demo, running was terrible. I turned on Auto-Sprint, my first run was a 17 yard gain up the middle.
