Re: NCAA Football 11 IMPRESSIONS ONLY

more thoughts:

saw my first big injury.

on a leaping catch in the end zone, a North Texas receiver took a monster hit.
they showed a cut scene of him on the ground, mentioning he was hurt, then was loaded to a stretcher as the fans cheered seeing he was OK.
he then waved.

nice.

seeing as a few other times they didnt even notify me when a guy got hurt, this was refreshing.

either i hit the button aftr the play and missed the injury prompt before or they only do it for big injuries.

EA, You nailed it this year! This is the most fun I have ever had with any football game in my lifetime. All of my experience with the game this year has been online play. The game is beautiful! I love the post game with the recap of the big plays, the music, I just love this game; even when I lose.

I can't say enough of my appreciation for the effort your team put forth this year. Amazing, amazing job!

Re: NCAA Football 11 IMPRESSIONS ONLY

I picked up the game for the PS3 today and love it. I love the feel of the game especially running the ball. I have played various versions of the college game dating back to the sega genesis days when it was Bill Walsh football. I skipped last years game but with all the great impressions I decided to pick it up. Hopefully Madden can step it up like NCAA did.

game is absolutely fantastic this year. best college football game in a very long time and arguably the CH 2k8 of the football gaming world.

Graphics are great. player models are very realistic looking and animated right.
gameplay is smooth non glitchy and just feel different everytime you play.

Just like tiger woods this year a huge improvement and i mean HUGE!

Agreed. I thought they'd be money but I got shutdown ALOT in my last game across the middle.

On another note, I had a play action pass on a fly pattern against the CPU that bit HARD. My Wr had the CPU cb beat by a good 7 yards. My below average QB overthrew it slightly and my WR layed out for the ball and came down at the 1. It was one of the plays that you would never see in previous version of NCAA.

Quick pros and cons

Pros
- Movement feels real
- some cool new animations
- AI plays somewhat realistic (runs well, plays defense smart)
- Lighting and graphics look awesome

Cons
- DBs running routes well before WRs makes passing a pain
- QB refusing to take sacks and somehow finding a WR just in time (madden 10 had this problem)
- Lack of a pass rush for the user
- lag or some weird delay when snapping the ball at times
- still noticeable suction tackling and blocking

Re: NCAA Football 11 IMPRESSIONS ONLY

posts arent money like they were lat year, neither are slants, i turned the pass coverage down to 35 and i think is perfect, its possible to run in and our routes, slants and posts are still difficult. sliders can fix anything

I just want to add that, so far, it just FEELS right. Control is there, AI seems to be there and the little things seem to be covered as well. No more bare bones NCAA football on nextgen....

And it's gorgeous.
