Is it safe to say this game is the best NCAA Football game of all time?

Ha, yeah, I was a first-buyer of '05 (and pretty much all of the PS2 titles) and I didn't have the same negative feelings about it. I know the drops frustrated people that year, and the game didn't really add anything new (discipline, maybe?), but it was by no means a BAD game. Certainly not worse for its time than NCAA 07, 08, and 10 were for their time. Heck, I'm pretty sure 07 and 08 (next gen) didn't even have precision passing!

This may be viewed as one of the better games, but no way is it the best NCAA game. Consensus is pretty strong that it's either 2004 or 2006. 2009 was appreciated b/c, in my mind, that's the first next gen game that was playable.

BEST: 2004, 2006, 2003, then maybe 2009/2011

WORST: 2010 (for the unthinkable crime of messing with the recruiting/progression engine), 2007.

Way to early to say one way or another. Still haven't even started a dynasty(waiting for community rosters) yet.

My early impression is that it is the best this generation easily, but that I would still put NCAA 06 a tad above it overall.

too early. Especially with the known issues in this game, and the fact that 04 was so awesome.

HOWEVER, if I can find a good medium on the sliders, and EA patches up some other stuff, it can be the best. And also, to me, it depends on how good the real life college football season is...that does play a part as well.

The game has been out for one day and there's a discussion about best NCAA ever??? You can't honestly judge after one day. NCAA 2004 is my favorite of the series. It will take a good amount of time before that is changed. I'm not sure NCAA 11 will.

im so close to saying yes heh,I love the running game in between the tackles.And the OLB play is almost where it needs to be.(DT domination still lacking)I still miss the discipline meter.It added another level when it came to recruiting.I also miss the late hits on the QB with the players fighting.But the gameplay and animations are so strong in this game....ok sold myself i vote yes GOAT
