Has anyone had success getting 5 * prospects with a 3 * or lower school?

i am using UCONN for my dynasty and I have recruiting set to All American. I have so far landed 5 3* recruits. I have tried to persuade a 5* recruit which was from my state but he decided to commit with the Irish. I have had no luck getting any 4* recruits.

So far I can only recruit one star above my school rating, I'm doing a Dynasty with Ohio. I won my conference the first year and bumped up to a 3 star rating in school and recruited my 1st 4 star player at CB. The Freshman steps on the field as the best player, LOL.

Only goo thing about using a small school is transfers, I got a junior RB from Ohio State at 87 overall. To bad he has to sit out a year but the average rating for a player in the MAC is a 74.

I salute you. That was a hell of a get. I think that getting a five star prospect to come to your school if you're a 4 or 5 star prestige is a heck of an accomplishment this year. Especially if you're recruiting on Heisman.

Yeah, I play as Illinois, also a 3 star school, And I never had a 5 star interested, even though Ron Zook is known for bringing in some solid recruits. I have a few 4 stars and a pant load of 3 stars. I'm on AA difficulty.

San Diego State, 1-star prestige. Varsity recruiting difficulty. Rating of A for campus lifestyle, and a rating of B for facilities. The rest of my pitches are all C's or D's. I won 8 games my first season.

I got one 4* recruit to commit, a center. I think seven or eight 3*, and the rest were 2*. I came VERY close to landing both a 4* QB and HB. I was their 2nd choice of school when they committed elsewhere. Soooo close.

When all was said and done, I think I was ranked like 72nd. Seems about right. Not too hard, but not easy either. Pretty impressive though considering my school's low prestige.
