Re: Defense

I find MOST people dont really read a defense pre-snap that much. Well maybe they don't do it well. They normally have a guy maybe 2 they know they want to go for or a route. Then focus on ways to stopping that. IF you can stop the run and get them into passing downs then they are really in trouble, cause then you can mix it up and really mess with them.

Because the guy is asking for help on how to improve his play. One of the best ways to improve on defense is to let the CPU control your coverage. When you switch to the DB or anyone in coverage, that player decelerates and loses his direction which usually results in disaster. I typically let the ratings do their work in pass coverage.

The pass rush up front is not adequate, therefore, I see it's more beneficial to take over the front on a pass play than it is to control one DB who would have done his job anyways.

In other words, you can't help but make the DL better and you have a larger chance of screwing up the coverage if you control a guy in coverage.
