Commit Without Scholarship

Okay, so I was recruiting a 5* center and I was behind Alabama all season long. he soft commited to Alabama around week 11 without a scholarship offer and I went -1 behind them. His recruitment last all the way till the last week of the off-season and he decided to commit to Alabama without a scholarhip offer, how did this happen? Is he deciding to walk on there?

How do you know they did not offer him in the final week?

because on signing day you can go view recruits and when you look at his list, the scholarship box wasn't checked for Alabama

Re: Commit Without Scholarship

I completely hate that. Why would a 5 star player go to a school when they don't offer him a scholarship when 3-4 other schools are. I think they need to redo that.

Yeah. I don't mind seeing 2 and 3 star guys walk on, but when a 4 or 5 star walks on with 5 other offers, it's kind of ridiculous.

Re: Commit Without Scholarship

Remember in the movie 'Rudy', Rudy's pal had Big Ten scholly offers, but walked on to Notre Dame because of 'family pressures'.

Re: Commit Without Scholarship

LoL, Maybe they can add backgrounds to players...
Maybe the player had a rich daddy who could pay him thru college...
But anybody from the hood better take a scholly...

(No Racism) Was he a white recruit????

**I kidd, I kidd**

This is where a DEEP dynasty mode would really rock...the adopted son of a Bama booster decides to walk on as opposed to using a scholarship. Oh the NCAA would love to investigate THAT...wait, that sounds like a plot from a movie sorta...hummm
