Slow setting feels right...
I've been happy and disappointed at this year’s college football game. Locomotion is great, playbooks are massive and the option rocks but there are a few things that leaves me with that empty feeling. Man to man is like playing a defensive that was giving your playbook, play-action is almost always a sack and the game in general seems pretty fast and frantic. I've found a solution to all those problems. If anyone plays Madden 10 and enjoy the speed and the game, you will realize that Madden 10 speed is set to slow while NCAA 11 is set to normal. I changed the speed to slow and I saw a world of difference. Man to Man didn't feel as bad because if they jump the route you have time to look to another route. Play-action for some reason works now and I have time to get rid of the ball and read the defense. Passing feel realistic and the game as a whole feels less frantic.
As a side note, I'm a hardcore Madden and NCAA player and it was hard to convince myself to try the slow setting because I thought it meant I couldn't handle the speed of the game, but it was all for the best. If you enjoyed the speed of Madden 10 try the game on the slow setting, it will change how you play the game, I know it did for me.
