Using UCF I got a 3 star ATH that has become a beast at QB.

His arm is weak (78) but is accuracy is ok (82) and he has 91 speed, 89 agility, 85 break tackle, 87 juke, 85 spin.

QB Ali Scales - 65 Overall - 3-star recruit

In my 2011 season, he comes in after my 91-rated Sr. QB gets injured and my backup plain sucks against Florida.

So far through 2+ games:
7 TD : 0 INT

I have been thoroughly surprised at how well his passes have been on target.

82 THP
77 THA

He has been on point despite these low ratings. My backup with higher ratings was terrible and threw 0 TD : 2 INT.

He also had a nice touchdown run vs. Florida. Check out my sig to see the latest games (UF, New Mexico, Oregon State) to see him in action.

Wow that sounds like one hell of an option type QB! Damn I wouldn't mind somebody like that!

Some of the recruiting classes are pretty funny, I've just been simming away.

UCF somehow nabbed 2 5*s and 9 4*s.

Fresno State is another team that seems to recruit really well over and over.

Re: So what recruiting gems have you come across on?

Some other ones I've found;

A 3* SS (21 Overall) came in at 77 overall, he's not that fast 79, but has 91 acceleration, but he is a good tackler 83, and hits hard 92, and plays nasty man coverage 89.

Well he wasn't quite a hidden gem, but I got the #3 overall QB that popped up in the off-season and luckily he is from NJ and had me 1st on his list to start with, he ends up giving me his verbal on the spot. The ratings? 85 overall, 92 speed, 82, acceleration, 86 awareness, 83 break tackle, 90 elusiveness, not that good at passing, 83 throw power, 77 throw accuracy.

Now to see 3* come in like this and actually make an impact is awesome. I haven't had any yet as i've restarted my Rutgers dynasty (...and after winning the BCS too dammit ). So i'm looking forward to see what's coming.

Also saw in another thread a guy get a 64 OVR player progress nicely into the high 80's. Nice. Now if the patch fixes option teams and running in general, i'll have no complaints at all.

Recruited a 4 star QB ranked 10th in the nation in my 6th year after the tuners.

Named Dan Patton, 86thp, 80tha, 85acc, 88spd.

He is my backup but should start next season. I currently use him in certain packages. I have a couple of plays I run the read option from the Pistol and Shotgun. I also use him for speed option plays out of my single back sets.

Re: So what recruiting gems have you come across on?

I signed a 3-star MLB who came in ranked 77. He is very fast, 85 with 85 ACC I think or close to it. I'm starting him at OLB as a freshman because I have 2 MLBs (79, 77) that are serviceable, but I have to get him on the field.
