Nagging Injuries

I'm playing with UNC in an offline dynasty, year 3. A few times so far i've noticed that if a player gets injured ex. strained back and is out say like for 4 weeks but seems to linger several weeks beyond his projected recovery time. For instance in year 2 I had a DT get injured and was out for 5 weeks. After the week 5 the next 2 weeks he was listed as doubtful, week 8 listed as probable and didn't play. Finally in the 9th week he made it back.

The last time I had a player go down my starting RB, I completely removed him from the depth chart. He was back in action after his stated 4 week healing period. No "doubtful" or "probable", he was 100%. I don't think it had anything to do with injury rating as both players were in the upper 80's.

I like it. It's a game-time decision which happens all the time in real life.

You can always just manually put them in.

Yeah I like this as well. I had a DE that suffered a torn pectoral in week 1. It originally said he would only miss the next game. However he ended up being listed as "questionable" for the next four games after that and he did not get upgraded to probable until week 7.

My thoughts exactly. There is a little of that "risk vs. reward" decision-making that makes it interesting and more fun.

Re: Nagging Injuries

Yeah, this happened to me with Tate Forcier in my Michigan dynasty. He was out for quite a few weeks, doubtful for a few, and then finally made it back.

In a cupcake game, I actually played him when he was doubtful. The next week he was probable, but still didn't play, because my game didn't put him in, so I figured he shouldn't play.

I like it.

Re: Nagging Injuries

I like it as well, but it can be frustrating. In my OD, Denard Robinson (my starting QB) was injured in week 4 for 3 weeks. 4 + 3 = 7. It wasn't until week 13 that he was taken off of the injured list...
