Re: Post Your Offense

whatever works best with the players I have.

Actually, have been slowly shifting towards pro-style since NCAA 10 after running a spread option offense for 08-09.

Re: Post Your Offense

Whenever I play against a human, I play with a pro/one back offense. Those are easily my best offenses. But, I love Florida's playbook, so I'm trying to grasp that as of right now.

Re: Post Your Offense

Singleback. I kill the clock, and score. In my opinion the way to get it done. I pass on first a lot. More run heavy. Not afraid to give my QB only 11 attempts if my backs (I utilize atleast 3 backs a game) can get the job done. No you wont lead the league in offense, but how many teams lead the league in offense who actually win? IN the game? Not a lot

I use alabamas playbook. And once every game I will have an entire drive that is ran out of the wildcat.

Re: Post Your Offense

Using BYU's playbook I use an Air Raid passing game to open up the run. Keep HB Dive as an audible and tear up nickel or dime defenses with it. Short passes are good. Mix in some passes from I-Formation and runs from 4 WR sets and the opponent has no idea whats coming

Sometimes I'll go with Oregon's playbook, which has 4 shotgun halfback dives, and get tons of rushing yards with them.

Kansas.

Bruising run-game opens up play action from heavy formations.

Shotgun/spread used on a situational basis.

Re: Post Your Offense

Since AubOrange and myself have been discussing the workings of my offense I mine as well post it in a thread talking about styles.

I run the Pistol but with a triple option type style. I come out with a pass play every down. If the defense has more men in the box than I have blockers I run my pass play, if they have equal or less I stay in the same formation and audible to my inside run. Just like the triple option my first read is always run up the gut. I do not stray from it either, very basic rules if they have more in the box than me I pass, if not I run it. As the game goes on the defense really tries to take away that inside run, when that happens and the put 7 in the box, its now 4 on 4 in the passing game and I start going to the air. They adjust to stop the pass and I go back to hitting them in the middle once rules show me its right to go there. Then just back an forth taking what they are giving.
