I agree PM. I think with some slider adjustments on varsity this is the best on field football game in a while. The ONLY thing I feel the urge to complain about on these forums are the CPU Depth charts in dynasty. But yea overall, I completely agree that the patch has been pretty good.

I've got the game pretty much where I want it with slider adjustments. At this point I hope EA doesn't do anything to the gameplay except fix the PA glitch and any dynasty enhancements that need to be done. I would hate for them to do something that impacts gameplay and makes me tinker with sliders more or worse...break something that is currently working.

They didn't fix the Time Out Issue (still calling them with 2+ mins to go.)
Tournovers not toned down (Fumbled 3 times vs V-Tech holding the Top button).
*Speed not fixed, 95+ still getting caught by D-Tackles.
*Play Action not fixed... It's a sack pretty much Every time (RTG mode as RB, there's nothing I can do)

Doesn't look like EA fixed much to me (or what mattered to me).

The game gets annoying with these Issues!!!
You ever considered changing your strategy to conservative when carrying the ball?

The CPU is setup to try and force turnovers....switch over to their controller during a game and watch their gameplan options. You'll see they are setup to try and force turnovers

You can tone down the fumbles as I've stated several times by utilizng the conservative gameplan for your RB's

It takes all of 2 minutes to make in game strategy changes.....The option is there not sure why people don't really use it to tone down the fumbles.

Threshold can be used to combat the speed differential didn't realize that was an issue once you tweak the threshold slider it doesn't seem to effect my games.

Time out issue never noticed it.....but if it's something small then i wouldn't have noticed it because i don't let those things really bother me if it doesn't destroy or ruin the gameplay.

PM,

Started using your sliders and noticed you took them down. What are you using right now that allows you to love the gameplay?

BTW, i am using your current sliders (which you scrapped) with a few tweaks and love the gameplay.

Re: Loving the gameplay after the patch by EA

I couldn't agree more with PlayMakers. I've stated in another thread, that since the patch I haven't had much hands on with the game, but when I do I've taken note of where i think the game for me needs adjusted, made small adjustments.

I'm literally amazed at what EA has going on with this game.

Kind of think EA is sitting back waiting for people to get used to the changes, open their eyes and realize what they have.

I realize there was some controversy after the patch, and I kind of buy into some of it, but when I actually play, take the time to fix my weaknesses I get utterly amazed by the game again.

I'm fixing the QBA slider for the CPU....

Before they coudl be used at 55-60 and you'd still see some errant throws.

That is not the case anymore after the patch. I have reduced them down quite a bit now during testing so that you get to see all types of passes that can result into completions or incompletions.

I took everything down because i wanted to provide an update that i have full tested before posting anything.

I should be done in the next day or two

Re: Loving the gameplay after the patch by EA

Playmaker I read you slider thread and played on varsity with some tweaks and I am very impressed with EA's effort. The game played so well for me.

I had CPU QB taking off to run.
CPU RB running well.
Passing game was perfect for the CPU (QB AW at 20) missed throws and yet some deep connections.

I think the gameplans make a huge difference in how the CPU plays against you. I just wish we could set the CPU's gameplans!!! Then this game would be near perfect.

Good post man.

Set speed threshold to 0...problem solved
