Re: 2012 The Year of Dynasty

Recruiting is fine with me, it's challenging and fun to do. I just think there isn't enough to do as a coach in Dynasty Mode. I would like to see the Head Coach aspect really in the game, I am not familiar with college football Coaches but it would be cool if there was a coaches meeting every week or something, or a game planing session. What I mean is look at Head Coach, and Head Coach 09. Then mix it with dynasty mode now and it would be amazing. Plus fixing all those issues and stuff.

It's just boring to me. I loved the way they set up recruiting on NCAA Basketball 09 (didn't play 10). You'd have a bunch of steps to take to unlock higher up "pitches", but the higher up "pitches" would take more points. They'd just change it so you'd have weekly points instead of a season pool, then give a larger pool (maybe double) in the offseason. It's a really well done system.

But I'd rather see the coaching carousel first.

Re: 2012 The Year of Dynasty

NCAA Basketball's recruiting was always better in my opinion than the NCAA Football series. Better teams ot more scholarships and more funds to spend on recruiting while a team like ETSU would get 3 scholarships to give out and could spend 400 funds all season long.

Recruiting players close to your school was a little easier, but nothing too easy and it was cheaper. Recruiting someone from California as The College of Charleston was very expensive and extremely difficult.

Recruiting in both college basketball games was a lot better than we have now in football.

Recruiting budgets would be a great feature but I'd rather have coaching carousel first.

Exactly. All they'd have to do is basically copy it, make it football relevant, and instead of giving you a pool of points for the entire season, go the CH2k8 way and have a pool for the year, but a weekly limit.

Re: 2012 The Year of Dynasty

this was probably the big year for NCAA. next year, i'm guessing minute changes.

in my book NCAA is pretty damn solid.

if i had a wish though, i'd say they could bring more to the table as far as being able to view your dynasty from you browser.

Re: 2012 The Year of Dynasty

I like the current recruiting. The only big things wrong with dynasty this year IMO were bugs, not features (or lack thereof). Once they fixed progression and incoming recruit ratings for the most part, I've been pretty happy, although there are still depth chart problems and other things that need ironed out. It's not perfect, but I spend a lot of time with it and quite enjoy myself.

For me, the wishlist for 2012 includes:
- Focus on making the defense play better (mostly against the pass) and with more realistic AI wherever possible. Gap assignments and pass coverage assignments are just a mess, or non-existent. Instead everybody reacts to the ball, or if in man coverage, to secret knowledge of the receiver's route.
- FCS teams? Please?
- And I agree, some small enhancements to dynasty would be nice - coaching carousel, maybe a recruiting budget (though I'd be happy with this taking a backseat to what is basically the current model; I don't need to see the budget driving the whole experience).
