EA: The Poll/BCS Ranking Logic is BROKE

What the frick!!??? Nevada??? Really?? Nevada didn't even play another game the week I smashed the Gators and they still hopped me in the polls.... WTF? I finished #5 and will play in a BCS bowl but give me a frickin break on West Virginia and Nevada finishing ahead of me. EA is putting waaaaay too much value in going undefeated with small schools. I know Boise and TCU are the catalysts to this change this year but this is just stupid. The toughest team Nevada played all season was Cal and they're not even ranked. I am pissed about this and EA needs to address the ranking logic in a bad way.

Another reason why we need the CFB playoffs. Thats messed up.

The funny thing is I still have a 2009-2010 preview book that shows Boise State as a possible national champion. They came so close too I think they lost to Nevada. Now at the time, that loss seems terrible, but who was Nevada's QB?None other than Colin Kaepernick.

Spoiler it seems that the main point the OP was trying to make is being lost in this thread, because he used sort of a bad example. the bcs logic is broken imo. i hear some saying its not broken because its wacky in its real world counterpart. honestly, its actually quite beyond wacky, if i say so myself. wacky would be for example if: navada, bama, ohio st, and fsu are all undefeated and somehow nevada plays in the title game. to me thats wacky. but thats not whats going on with the polls in the game. for example. i am in an OD, i started out with a team that was unranked in a bcs conference. i am currently 9-1, with my only lose being the 1st game of the season. so by the math you can see that that means i am currently on a 9 game winning streak. i also currently have the #1 overall rated defense in total yards statistically. i have wins against 2 teams that were ranked in the top 25 at the time of the game, 1 of which was ranked in the top 10 at that time. i didnt crack the top 25 in either poll until wk11. and actually by going to the championship contenders tab i could see that at 1 point i was ranked 27. well, that same wk which was wk 9, i beat northwestern who was ranked 25th at that point in time. not only was i not ranked in either poll in wk10, but i had dropped to 31st. ok, so now currently it is wk 12, i am in the top 25 at 20. there are currently 6 teams ahead of me in the top 25 who have atleast 3 loses. and every game they win, even with those 3 loses i make up zero ground. i could continue on providing you details because my situation is not the only highly questionable situation with the polls going on in the OD. but heres why its important... im not playing offline, im playing in an OD setting against other users; and im trying to make it into a bcs game, because not only are coaching skill points on the line but future recruits are on the line. i dont have time to be concerned with whether its realistic or not, because the fact is that its a game and the bcs flawed logic is having real-time implications on my program in the game. so please ppl we all know that its not working correctly, let it be broken or wacky in the real scenario; but in my world of the game i would like it to be working properly. and ppl who are saying that its not flawed because it flawed in real life, i see as a threat to getting this very annoying issue resolved. now in know way am i trying to imply that another person is not enititled to their opinion that its not flawed; im just saying that if possible id like for EA to fix it via tuner or patch.

i post this to show that the bcs logic is completely broken and needs to be fixed via a tuner or patch asap. anyone who attempts to justify this is clearly just doing so purely for the sake of doing so. read my quoted post above for more context, if you need it.

so its currently conf champ week. i am in the big10. my current record is 11-1; with my 1st lost coming in the very 1st wk of the season. so that means im on a 11-game win streak presently. i am undefeated so far in conf (still have to play conf champ game). i possess the #1 ranked total defense statistically. i am currently ranked 15th in the bcs polls.

not only am i at 11-1 ranked 15th, but there are atleast 5 teams ahead of me with 3 losses, not to mention the 5 teams ahead of me with 2 losses. there are also 4 teams ranked ahead of me with either 0 or 1 loss. so at worst i should be ranked 5th.

but heres the real killer, i am currently ranked behind ohio st, who is ranked 12th. not only does ohio st. have 3 losses; they are not even 1 of the 2 teams in the conf champ game (myself and another user). they are 3rd in their own conference. btw ohio st is ranked higher than both teams in the big10 conf game, even tho they didnt make it to the game. ohio st. did not beat either team during the season.

somebody figure this 1 out. again the bcs logic is completely broken and needs to be addressed by ea asap. the question is how do i or someone with access to ea make that happen. because the above scenario is completely unacceptable.
