Re: 4-2-5 Defense

I love this Defense.. I never use the 3-3-5 or the 3-4 or the quarters crap.. I run 4-2-5, 4-3 and a little nickel... I feel like I am pretty good on D..

Re: 4-2-5 Defense

In my OD, I formation sub DBs to the OLB positions in the 4-4 defense creating a 4-2-5. This allows me to use 4-2-5 without commiting to the 4-2-5 playbook. I run a 4-3 base and sprinkle in the 4-2-5 for flavor.

this is pretty much exactly what i do, i run a base 4-3 with a Balanced SS or FS set to the depth chart as my LOLB and i make sure that my ROLB is a good coverage backer and my MLB is a Run Stopper, its a total lock down D and its basically a 4-2-5 without the glitchy DB getting stuck on the D-Line. Although this is kinda opening my eyes to even more options with the 4-4 defense aswell i currently don't use it, but i may now

ditto...nothing better then having a hard hitting DB that can cover as well...its almost an unbreakable D

Make recruiting fun. There alot of 4.5 safties that are hard hitters with decent str ratings. It a great way to get talent on the field.

The 4-2-5 is this years game has a few flaws that doesn't make it a viable base defense.IMO But its great in certain situations.

Re: 4-2-5 Defense

4-2-5 defense on 09 and 10 was legit, this year it sort of sucks because of the pro tak, you can't really fly around wherever you want with the free safety anymore

Pro tak makes it better. It force users to be discipline.
