Unique Custom Confrences

I love the custom confrence feature in NCAA. Today I made a unique batch of confrences. Using the rankings from collegefootballnews.com I took every team and put them in confrences based on those rankings. I used the espn.com confrence power rankings to determine where all the teams went. The only problem I have is that the ACC is a BCS confrence and holds some very average teams in this ranking system. I guess it cant be perfect. Again this is just a fantasy not possible and takes away from a bit of the classic matchups but in the end makes for a very interesting regular season. If anyone is interested the confrences that are below. I have yet to play a game but will keep this updated if I get any intrest.

Re: Unique Custom Confrences

should be interesting....a cause for concern though will be your BCS bowls cause of the auto qualifyers. The ACC and Big East look a little on the weak side and might cause for some bad matchups in the BCS bowls.

Re: Unique Custom Confrences

Good point, I will set this up later tonight. I will use the top 65 teams and put them in the 6 BCS Confrences. I will update the first post later tonight or tomorrow. Then will start the season tomorrow. I will leave the schedules as the computer makes them after the realignment.

Basic idea, was follow actual realignment as possible, but i took a lot of liberties as well.

I felt like Okie State, bieng the farthest north, of the South teams should shift to the north division, and in reality, would give them a 1 off opponent, in Mizzou for conference champ year in and year out. I toyed with the idea of sticking TCU in the south, instead of Arkansas, but outside of OU, that would have left 5 Texas teams, and even if it wasnt alot of variety i wanted to add some... so Arkansas slide from SEC to Big 12.

As for Colorado, i couldnt find a team currently in the PAC10 to drop in favor of them, so left them in the Big 12. Nebraska did make the move to the Big 10 however.

Comments? Observations? things i could shift around to make it a little more optimized?
