NCAA 08 on XBox. The last one made for the XBox. The more recent ones on the PS2 are just rehashes of the same game and the XBox versions were always a touch better.

Although the spring game bored me, I miss that and also medical redshirts. I actually never liked the drills though. I always felt it was too easy to boost the players rating doing that. I understand that was the point, but when you can improve a player's speed from 88 to 94 in one training session, that isn't cool to me.

I have the PS3 and can only control 1 team when it used to be more than that. I think 09 was the best NCAA

Is all of the stuff you guys are talking about present in NCAA 11 for PS2?

I miss high bullets.

You can control more than one team on the PS3 (12 actually).

Select your dynasty team...then when teh dynasty settings pop up...hit "X" on User Teams(s): ETC and pick up to 11 more teams.

custom playbooks! I miss this feature more than anything. On the other hand, it has forced me to learn more playbooks... but still, I loved having one I-form, one wishbone (normal), one flexbone (trips), 2 ace (big and norm) and the rest shotgun. It allowed me nice flexibility when running my option attack... I could go pure spread option or could go more under the center/traditional option. Or no option at all. <3 ncaa 2k8 on ps2 (last one I played until this year's game - and yes, I still played it until this year's game). The multiple playbooks are close to this, but I still would like to trade out some of the formations I rarely use for others.

I also wish ncaa would put in like madden used to have (haven't played madden in several years, don't know if it's still there): custom packages. I always liked the ability to sometimes throw my HB2 into the slot or put my RE2 in on a sure-fire passing play as a pass-rush specialist. The packages they have now are nice, but they lack flexibility - ESPECIALLY on defense. Formation subs only go so far...

miss the pre-game showing Corso putting on the mascot's head for the team he was picking to win. Simple, yet fully effective in terms of immersion. Medical redshirts, dreads, spring game, pre-season drills...all need to come back, and not be some random simulated stat to boost a player's progress.
