Run Blocking for Wide Receivers

One of the reasons Oregon's running attack is so dangerous in real life is that all the WR's are very good at down field blocking. Glancing at the blocking attributes for the WR's all seemed to be fairly low. The highest run block rating given to a WR in the game is a 73, so I was wondering if that is a good baseline for adjustments.

Re: Run Blocking for Wide Receivers

Same applies for all of the triple option, wishbone, and flexbone teams. The HB's and WR's are taught to run block.

Change Run Blocking and Run Blocking Footwork for all of the position players on these teams. Unfortunately it won't matter much in Franchise mode after the 2nd/3rd year.

Like he said, you'll want to look at the run blocking footwork and run blocking strength attributes, not the run blocking one.

So what does the Run blocking attribute affect? I changed all three just to make sure.

It's either used for sims or it's gone the way of the Do-Do like the AWR rating and others.

Re: Run Blocking for Wide Receivers

do these edits for your RB's in pass block footwork and you'll see them pick up blitzes much better

Also the WR's will tale out defenders by going low to make the block down field

This is why i love doing the ratings myself for NCAA because EA's default rosters don't show people how the game can truly play on the field.

So you get to read basically the same threads all year about how the CPU QB won't run or why the CPU fumbles a lot.....

Well, of course that doesn't do any good for dynasties other than the first few years.

ok so why not enjoy the 1st few years of dynasty as best as possible?

I always see guys saying it only helps for the 1st few years....basically your telling me you'd rather play with sub par things the entire dynasty period when you can atleast tweak it for those 1st few years to play AWESOME

what's the difference anyway if your downloading rosters from OS must of those rosters are edited with different player ratings yet people don't want to take the time to make additional tweaks

I'm confused with this logic...........
