Re: 40-time conversion chart

I've always been confused as to why this chart works. If you had two players, one with 99spd/99acc, and one with 99spd/40acc, would both of their listed 40 times be 4.24? Because that clearly wouldn't be the case in real life. 40 times are just as much about acceleration as they are about speed, if not more.

Exactly!!!!! It makes NO SENSE! When I mentioned the completely broken logic in it it spelled the beginning of the end of our on-line dynasty.

The A+, A, A- ratings still mean the same ranges. The 40 times just don't mean exact speed anymore now that acceleration is more meaningful.

Re: 40-time conversion chart

How accurate does this come out to be?

I remember having some recruits that graded out to be good when I recruited them but come position changes they are much worse than it seemed they would be.

Re: 40-time conversion chart

I use deegeezy chart and love it....i see very good seperation between a 90 speed guy and someone in the 80's or 70's now.

I was actually shocked by the number of players who EA rate as a 90+ speed or acceleration in the game and yet if you look up their actual combine 40 times or any 40 time recorded they are not a true speed demon

This chart allows for some nice speed seperation on the field in NCAA 11. Makes a real burner stand out on your team and none of that catching them from behind crap if they have an advantage

Re: 40-time conversion chart

Does the letter grades (A, B, B-) equivelate to like a school grade is? like if someone has A- speed it's between 90 and 92, B+ is high 80's, etc.

Is that true?
