My intuition was correct about not downloading the latest patch & tuner set. I am so glad I did not do it because I don't mind the psychic DBs. It does not "look" real but it helps with the simulation.

yea the defense is pitiful now. I was top 400 online and stopped playing for weeks because of the D. I like to control the clock with slower drives and when the guy can come back and score in 4 plays its pretty frustrating to say the least. And I aint wack either, the plays that used to work don't do a thing now.

You have the tools you need to be succesful.

Like anything, it just requires practice and patience.

People want these teeth pulling defensive struggles, for some reason, yet those type of games are really very rare.

75 Teams are currently averaging more then 25 PPG.

I was having trouble against short routes, so I set the zone depth to aggressive in the gameplan options. Then I controlled a linebacker to guard the rest of the field between the hash marks and I started getting some good stops.

I don't usually change much in the gamelplan because I don't wanna set my defense up to get beat, but this aggressive zones option is great if they keep going to the short routes. Also, covering the slot guy buys my d-line some time to make more sacks. In general, if I guard the middle myself, then my defense has a better chance. If I let the CPU patrol the middle of the field for me, I'm screwed because the other team will throw slants and drags consistently.

I believe the patches are in your "download history" on the main PSN menu. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

i agree with that but online ranked is only 5 minute quarters and to run the same amount of plays like real life u have to play about 8 mins. so by default the scores shouldn't be that high online. it seems like they just made the defense dumber to make the scores higher, when it shouldn't b because we aren't playing that long of a game online
