This thread is a perfect example of why you should sim the defense. It cheats, plain and simple.

The game can be screwy like that. One time I had to kick a FG but I let the time in the first qtr run down. Then at the beginning of the 2nd qtr it had me kicking to the opposite side of the field, which would have been about a 90 yd FG.

Oh, you can believe me. No penalty on the play I described.

I started this thread to see if there were others who have similar stories and from the posts so far, there have been.

In a game a couple weeks ago in my San Diego State dynasty the opposing team was punting facing a fourth down. However, the punter never showed up, but the team snapped it anyways. The ball suddenly appears in the punters' hands 30+ yards downfield where he is standing completely still ready to punt the ball, but never does. My guys get down there and tackle him, but the result of the play is a 30 yard gain and a first down. It was quite bizarre to say the least.

I had something similar happen to me as I was attempting a comeback on SMU:

-Had the ball 2nd and goal from inside the 5
-1st play, crossing pattern to the WR where ball CLEARLY broke the plane...****led down short of the goal line.....lost the challenge. Fine.
-Next play, from like the 1-inch line, HB Blast and my HB literally falls into the end zone, his whole body except for his feet land in it. Ruled down at the line of scrimmage.

No more challenges. Got sacked on 4th and goal.

My friend and I constantly bitch to each other about how the CPU goes into BS mode. Without fail they suddenly start picking everything off if it gets anywhere near them. You're players suddenly start fumbling everything even if you're protecting the ball. It's very annoying. The only way I've figured to counter it is to beat the ever loving piss out of the CPU so that it has no shot. So um, you know, good luck with that.
