If you do a formation sub, and put in a player thats been red shirted in your formation sub, that player is able to play and then has a 99 overall rating.

EDIT: My friend said someone in his dynasty did it...I went to check it and couldnt get it to work....Does anyone else know anything more about it?

I haven't tried it, but I'm sure it doesn't work. Sounds like your friend had the wrong idea.

The 99 OVR rating thing is probably pure fabrication, but the subbing in redshirt players part of what he said is definitely true because one of the guys in my online dynasty did just that with a true freshman DE on Virginia Tech.
