What is it that makes NCAA a better game than Madden?

Almost everyone seems to think that NCAA is "way better!" or "lightyears ahead!" but what is it more precisley tyst makes the game so much better? Is it the grahics? The pass rush? The pass coverage? Presentation?

I haven't played the new Madden yet, but the reason why i like NCAA so much is that it never gets old. With Madden there's only so many teams you can start a franchise with, whereas in NCAA you have a vast range of teams and can actually switch teams within your dynasty. Also the recruiting part is incredibly fun and adds to the overall experience of the game.

the gameplay is better, it plays more like real football

You know what, I've never understood this at all. Its pretty much the same damn game if ya ask me. Actually NCAA is way more generic than Madden.

Having more teams is a plus but the gameplay is pretty much the exact same as Madden. I would even say the gameplay in Madden is actually better, its way more polished and feels more visceral. Madden has more impact (think thats a good word for it) than NCAA. Madden just feels alot more vicious ya know.

Everytime I see something like this posted I get this puzzled look on my face lol

Agreed. Better gameplay. Much more fluid and realistic.

Because it took the Madden team three patches to add defense to the game.

There is actually such a thing as a solo tackle in NCAA.
There is a semblance of a pass rush.
There is more variety to the playbooks. Never thought I'd see a college playbook deeper than an NFL one.

Here is a small sample of what they did to the playbooks in Madden. The numbers on the left are the offensive plays in Madden 11, on the right the number of plays in Madden 10:

Seahawks: M11-201, M10-310, total removed-109
Eagles: M11-192, M10-299, total removed-107
Colts: M11-189, M10-312, total removed-123
Cowboys: M11-209, M10-305, total removed-96
Vikings: M11-219, M10-308, total removed-89

I prefer the NCAA Dynasty over Madden franchise, you get a completely new team every five seasons so it never gets stale for me
