Why no weather in pick-up online games?

Is it just me, or are there no options to control the weather (nor is the Weather Channel thing active) in online games? I can understand wanting to even the playing field in ranked matches, but I can't seem to play unranked games in anything but 75 degree clear skies. That's pretty lame, especially considering how much grief they got until they finally put in dirty jerseys.

it works but you have to go into play now mode first and make sure you are the home team and get all the way to the weather option and then back out to the main menu. choose xbox live and if you are the home team you will have that particular weather. Its a pain to do it but it works.

Could you elaborate on this, please? It doesn't seem to work for me. So I start the game, go to exhibition and pick the stadium I want to play in. I then pick the weather settings I want to try, then hit B until I'm back at the main menu. Then I go into Unranked mode until I'm the home team and select the same stadium. But this still gives me the normal weather.

EDIT: Nevermind, I just got it to work. I think the trick is that it has to be the very next game you start or it resets to the default.
