It's clear from the threads around here that there is more excitement for Madden this year.

This would be the first year in a while

Yes but my original point had nothing to do with NCAA being a better overall game. That's what you keep overlooking. I said the visuals and the engine were better...but just for the sake of it...I'll say NCAA was better visually in '11 (it wasn't).

Now answer the question...Would NCAA 12 be better off with Madden 12's graphics and engine? Yes or no?

Definitely gotta disagree here. Ncaa 11 > Madden 11. This year however, I feel that Madden is looking like the better product.

Are you saying that in terms of gameplay or visuals? In terms of the overall product I agree.

I thought NCAA 11 looked better than Madden. Madden's player models looked too thin for me. Also the game looked a little dull, I thought NCAA had more pop to it. Also NCAA had progressive lighting, which added to the better look for me.

I also thought it played a tighter game. I thought the suction was less apparent in NCAA last year. Also felt less herky jerky to me than Madden.

This year however from the videos Madden, I think Madden clearly looks better. I don't even think I'm going to buy NCAA this year.

1 - Madden does not have one "engine".

2 - Madden and NCAA already share a TON of the same tech, to the point where they effectively _are_ using "the same engine", as you would put it. There is game-specific code in there, and minor balancing differences to give each game a different feel, but they are using the same backbone tech for the most part.

See I can agree with alot of that...the models were a little thin but I think if NCAA 11 had Madden's graphic as the base, they could've did it their way and made the players a little thicker. And I thought that NCAA player models were too big. And if they were able to do progressive lighting with Madden's graphics, it would've been incredible. Maybe I framed the OP wrong but I just think the player models and the animations were better. But I respect your opinion.

Yeah I'm not a game engineer so I think the terminology and the way I framed it threw ppl off. I meant the player models and animations. The cosmetics basically.
