Re: Recruits with famous names

Currently in season 3 of my OD. And last season, the guy who was Cincinnati in my dynasty was going after a 4* QB named Steve McQueen.

He lost him to Iowa, but it directly concerned me as I am in the Big 10. I'm nervous about the days when I'll have to play a "King of Cool" led Iowa squad.

I was recruiting a Jimmy Carter for a while. I also signed two guys named Brandon Montgomery in the same year. Not a famous name, but I thought it was funny that there were two of them that ended up at the same school.

Who?

Seriously though, I had an 4* OT from Birmingham, AL named Andre Smith and signed him playing as Alabama in 09 or so. He came in at LT and #71. So weird, so very weird.

Interesting being a Pacers fan *yikes* living in Indianapolis.

Pretty self explanatory, lol.

I looked through the entire recruit list (yeah it took a while) and found the following...

Charlie Brown
Justin Long (actor)
Ed McMahon
Larry King

and my personal favorite...

Courtney Cox

Re: Recruits with famous names

In the current offline dynasty I'm running with my roommate, I had a shot at famous American naval hero John Paul Jones. Maybe it's not quite as humorous as the more current names, but the fact that I couldn't close the deal (two-star school vs. four-star recruit) saved my roommate from hearing "I have not yet begun to fight" every time I completed a pass.

Re: Recruits with famous names

I found Wayne Newton. He was actually a stud thanks to Pocket Scout.

Wasn't interested in Mich. at all though.

Re: Recruits with famous names

My TB squad came with a cornerback named Mark Sanchez and a runningback named Kevin Faulk.
