Re: What's your recruiting strategy?

QUESTION ABOUT DYNASTY PROGRAM PRESTIGE:
I've noticed that the difference between being a 6-Star program vs. anything 5-Star or lower makes a significant difference in recruiting. With that being said, what exactly does it take for a program to lose a prestige star in online dynasty? Is there a particular record you have to drop down to (3 or more losses)? Do you have to lose a bowl game? It seems that certain teams get more grace than others with this. Anyone have an answer to this? Thanks!

Re: What's your recruiting strategy?

I run the Triple-Option with Air Force PB and a 3-4 defence.

QB: I look for fast QB's and/or fast ATH's that can throw.
HB: Speed/ACC/Carry must be decent in all 3.
FB: I recruit 1-2 a year must have C- in Speed/Acc/Carry/Trucking all round.
TE: Blocking not heavily recruited.
WR: Tall fast deep threat types, not heavily recruited.
OL: Run Blocking, Run Blocking, Run Blocking.
DE: Big run stoppers, faster ones get moved to OLB or become DPR on dime packages.
DT: Big run stoppers, faster ones may be moved to DE.
OLB: Pass Rushers that aren't liability's in pass coverage.
ILB: Coverage.
SS: Must be basically a fast LB with decent coverage.
FS: Coverage.
CB: Coverage.
K/P: No preference as long as they don't suck.

I'll try that out. So how about recruiting for a Spread Offense?

For a non-option spread I'd go with;
QB: Fast, Accuracy trumps Throw Power in the spread as a desirable attribute.
RB: Fast, must be a good pass catcher.
WR: Fast, good ball carrier skills for screens and sweeps/motion options.
FB/TE: Fast, Pass Catcher
OL: Pass Blocking

Really go for speed with the spread.

Thanks man. I just got NCAA for Christmas and experimenting with PBs. I'll probably go with Oregon's. and a 3-4 D

Re: What's your recruiting strategy?

It seems like if you win a championship with any team, recruiting gets less difficult. I got 2 instant 4 star recruits. I have a 3 star team.
What types of players should I recruit for a pistol offense?
I will start a new dynasty after freshman class graduates. I had a good freshman class.

QB= should be able to run and throw.
HB= power back
FB/TE= balanced
WR= speed and good running skills
OL= balanced with good acc so they can get out when pulling.

When a team wins a championship in real life they get 5 years of improved recruiting. Look at what happened to USC, Florida, Bama just to name a few. The better high school football players want to play for a winner.
