Has anyone ever had this happen on '11? I hadn't even ever thought of it and I've had the game since August. It hadn't occurred to me before because I don't think there's even been a possibility of two penalties called on one play. But I was just playing a game as Tulane and got a holding call during the play. I completed the pass to a WR and he was clearly brought down by his facemask. Normally, I think the facemask would have been called canceling out the hold. Instead, only the hold was called.

Just wondering if anyone knew if it was even possible to have two penalties called on one play.

I'm pretty sure it isn't possible. One of the douchebag strategies that my friend and I came up with was if we get caught offsides and the opponent throws downfield for a "free play," we would dominate the receiver to make sure he couldn't make a catch.

Yeah in real life I feel like it happens a lot (where they cancel each other out, etc), but I don't think they programmed this into the game. Why? I don't know. Just like they hardly programmed pass interference or late hits (out of bounds!) either?! Oh well...here's hoping for 2012.

This was available on the PS2 version back in 2006. Offsetting penalties. It is on the long line of features that are inexplicably removed from the "Next Gen" version. Even the PS1 had things like scouting reports and the East/West Shrine game. I wouldn't be suprised if you could find things from the original Bill Walsh College football that have been omitted.

Ya it's not in. Many many times I have had where a penalty will show up for a hold but the defense will tackle me by my facemask yet only the holding part shows up...

i wish they would call multiple penalties, i was play my MSU dynasty and Returning a kick and i thought they called a Flag on the kicking team because of a facemask but they called it on one my dude for clipping

Now that I think of it this has never happened to me. I don't think the game is programmed to do this.
