man vs zone

What do you gus think works better for the game?

I actually like to use a multiple defense and like to zone blitz but will throw in some man, and I am wondering if I should start looking for CB's and S's that have strength in zone coverage. Then I was wondering do I need to do that with my LB's too?

I am also considering trying to find some plays I can use as a combination, where maybe I can fidn a couple lockdown CB's, put them on the outside against the better Wr's to play single man coverage, and then go zone with everyone else. Does anyone ever mess around with defensive player audibles like this where they pick zone defenses and then quick put the outside CB's in man to man with their WR?

All Man, all the time. CB recruits must have high Press rating, first, for me, and Man and speed/accel ratings also in tow.
Zone is not strong in the game, and I'll sometimes call zone then audible to a delayed bump-n-run.

Re: man vs zone

I think man is straight up better than zone in this game. Its sorta broken. I play a press defense mainly.

Zone blitzes are cool though, and IMO are the only real safe way to send tons of guys at the QB. I get beat deep sol much on man blitz

It's kind of a lose lose to me. Run man, get destroyed with slants and out routes, Run zone and your guys just stand there like zombies. That said, I use man to man much more often, I play SS so I can usually defend the middle of the field pretty well and make up for my DB's inability to close off the inside release.

Agreed. Man to Man is a cheesers dream and zone is just a bunch of defensive guys out there picking their a ss. Although man works better if you find a way to get quick pressure on the QB.

Re: man vs zone

ya both can get beat easy with certain routes

Man-man- Crossing and drag routes

Zone- On cover 2 to throw over the middle evertime pretty much everything can beat zone if you try lol
