Just Got Outran By A....

A defensive lineman picked up a fumble on his own 4 and ran it 96 yards for a touchdown..

Here is the low down.
I was is a 4 WR set and ran a HB dive up the middle, he coughs it up and its recovered by the Defensive lineman. I switch to a player i cant see and start to give chase, it turns out to be my 3rd WR, i figure i can catch him easily. I catch up but i cant get any closer than my players circle thing right behind the D lineman's. Now i figure being in a 4 WR set that i should be able to catch him, apparently either everyone gave up on the play, or no one is fast enough to catch him. Both of those should not be the case, i can see if a corner ran it back, or even a linebacker... but a D lineman?

I really do not have an explanation for why this happened. Its actually blown my mind and has me stumped. I looked up the ratings and here the are
My Receiver - 87 SPD 94 AGL 96 ACC
D Lineman - 82 SPD 91 AGL 86 ACC

Im still really confused..... Not really sure what to say just thought id share and see if anyone else has had something like this happen.

Any other crazy/odd things like this you all have seen?

Lower the speed threshold. This should stop this.

That was my initial thought too, but its at 20... Shouldnt that be enough?

What's the CPU ball carrier ability? I've heard that effects player speed, so if it's higher, he will be faster.

Should "ball carrier ability" exist for a D-Lineman? Absurd.

I've got my speed threshold at 0 and have seen this kind of stuff happen. They need to fix the whole angles, speed, agility, and acceleration thing because it all seems to be pretty jacked up. I long for the days where 99 speed meant something. They just needed to tone down on the number of people with it and it would be find but it's hard to find a guy with breakaway speed until you see the case of the invincible d-lineman.

No I am going to sound crazy but what's the ball carriers pursuit? that will explain why...and yes it will determine whether or not your ball carrier could catch up.
