Houston Nutt is ridiculous for this, 37 in '09?

But, the Big10/B1G rules are actually available scholarships +3 to help account for transfers/academics/draft/etc

Over-recruiting is like how the airlines overbook flights....there is a pretty consistent % of atrophy (quitting, transfers, legal troubles, etc) that take recruits away. Oversigning takes this into account, and CAN be done responsibly.

What Ole Miss did a few years back, I'll never understand (signing 38 guys in a single class).

Anyway, deeper rosters would be nice, and I don't see how it could be prevented due to memory or whatever......it's just a little more volume.
