Bold are my picks for impact
That's probably if they stretch the ratings a little
Those are realistic ratings, strong in certain areas, weaker in others. But in reality I guarantee you EA won't rate any Michigan starter below 80 just so they don't get blown out in conference games. Another reason they need to stretch the ratings more.

Landry Jones? He got a 90 after having a good first year campaign, If he got a 90, Aaron Murray should definitely get a 90. Do i agree? No but based on previous games and ratings, he should/will get a 90

I'd be surprised if any of Virginia's quarterbacks were rated above 80, that's where we are hurting this year is inexperience under center. Also we lack RB depth, though our starter Perry Jones should be pretty good, 84 sounds about right. We should have plenty of good depth at wide receiver, and our defense ought to be a tad bit faster and tad bit better than last year, particularly with regard to shifting from a 3-4 defense to a 4-3 defense.

It would not surprise me to see Virginia Tech rated like that, though I think that'd be giving them a ton of slack for a team that is supposed to be young and likely not favored to return to the ACC Championship game at the season's outset. In particular, how do we know the Hokies have good RB depth behind David Wilson? How do we know that Logan Thomas, a guy who practiced at tight end last year, is going to be a good quarterback?
As a fan of both UVA and Tech(I am weird, I know - I am going to be attending William and Mary in the fall, but I've grown up supporting the Hoos and the Hokies), I have to disagree about Minnifield. He is a great talent, but I would put him behind Hosley a little bit. He's definitely going to need to step up and be the leader of the defense this season, though.

As for the QB's, perhaps Thomas is overrated for Tech, but he did not practice at tight end last year. Nor did he practice at tight end the year before that. He is often incorrectly referred to as a "converted" tight end. That's really not true. He played QB the last two years of high school and was recruited as an athlete by VT. They needed a QB, so they put him there and he has been very successful(in practice situations, of course). Frankly(and this saddens me as a UVA fan), from what I have seen he has been far better than Rocco, who appears most likely to win the job for UVA.

I agree with you about the running backs; if I have Perry Jones as an 84, I probably shouldn't have Oglesby as an 84 as well. I will say that Oglesby played significantly in the 2009 season(gaining over 400 yards), and was quite impressive, just not as impressive as Wilson, Williams, and Evans which is why he got very few carries last year. As for UVA's running back depth, I'm hoping Kevin Parks can be a good spell back for Jones. If not, one of the true freshmen coming in might have to step up!

If Landry Jones hardly got a 90 at a top school like OU,Noway a Qb at a UGA shool that went 6-7 that lost to UCF in there bowl game get a Qb thats a 90+..... I just dont see EA looking much into a QB at a 6-7 squad no matter what his stats(which were not outta this world but decent). Just like we complain EA bumps up stats for big schools even there freshman. My 2cents

What about Andrew Luck after his first year? He got a 94, with no where near the same stats as Aaron Murray or Landry Jones. Aaron Murray will be the best QB in the SEC next year so with that in mind, the best QB in the SEC will not have below a 90
