Commentary in 2011, and how to improve in 2012

I won the BCS Championship on a game winning 50 yarder as time expired. And...the commentators didn't care. There is no difference in emotion between a 50 yard run during a tie game, and a 50 yard run during a blowout. Every play is in a bubble.

What the commentators for next year's game should do, is actually sit through two people (or the AI) actually PLAYING the game, and pretend that they were doing a live broadcast. Doing this a few times, during blowouts, close games, important games, etc, could really help get the emotion down pat (that is, as long as the play by play guys could garner up enough emotion during a video game, which currently they can't..)

Apologies if this is already done, but it certainly seems as though they are just reading individual lines off of a script.

like that idea sir. I have a lot of ideas for commentary lines. one that stands out to me is lets saythe dynasty is 5 or 6 years in. I have no idea who im playing against. (player wise)

Id like to see the commentators state something about the players that stand out. Lets say Im playing against last years ESPNU #1 Prospect. I wouldnt know who he was. I dont want to memorize all of the players from the recruting menus.

They should say some stuff like "HB #5 was the #1 RB in last year's ESPN 150, He's having a good season so far"

or "QB#2 was highly recruited by many of the major schools, considered the #4 overall player in last years ESPN 150 and now he's here at FLA ST"

That's a very good idea. It would make dynasty mode feel more "alive." Even stuff not involved with recruiting, like if a junior QB wins the Heisman and comes back for his senior season, it would be nice for the commentary to acknowledge him as "last year's Heisman winner" and so forth.

This is where College Gameday would be perfect for pregame. Having highlights of both teams' best players.

Not only what you mention, but the crowd as well. You can break off a 50 yard run against an FCS team and the crowd sounds the same as when you break a 50 yard run against your hated rival, or, as you mentioned in the NC game. When you do something as you mentioned, the crowd should be so loud that you could barely hear the commentators, even from a tv broadcast. EA keeps talking about, "creating an authentic NCAA football environment", yet cannot get these situations right.
