Re: Custom Playbooks, What's your going to look like?

I'll have a lot of pistol and shotgun with a wing or split backs for power running. Out of those formations, I'll probably split my running 50/50 with power and option plays. I'll throw in a few wildcat formations with the QB still taking snaps a la Oregon in the demo. I'll also be using wishbone for some power running and wishbone for some option running. Most of my passing plays will be slants and cross routes so that I can audible to those and get rid of it when the box is stacked.

On defense, I'll have a lot of 3-3-5 and 4-2-5. I'll also have 4-3 over and under and just move the SS to Sam or the WS to Will so that it is basically the 4-2-5 with a different look. I might sprinkle in some 3-4 with the same concept as the 4-3, but I've never been too much of a fan of the 3-4.

I won't touch the custom playbook until I get a good feel with the base ones first. That's just me.

Re: Custom Playbooks, What's your going to look like?

I need to look at them first; I used syracuse's playbook last year so I'll probably start with that...

I like balance...I want some power running, some outside speed running and a lot of passing, some sets with 4 and 5 wr, others with 1 or 2 te....I just have to like the plays...I also like plays where one guy goes deep and the others dont go but 5-10 yards from scrimmage...like to spread out the D

I am going to probably use La. Tech's as my base. Add a little Auburn and Oregon to mix it up. Next, I'll add a little Pistol to it (the spread formations like FSU has in the demo).

Finally, I will have one Power Set - like Power I or Wishbone to supplement my short yardage offense - I guess Goalline could be that formation, but I would rather be unconventional.
