Wonder about Teambuilder

Last year I bought the additional teambuilder slots in hopes of having a D II dynasty. I researched the teams, broke them down into DI conferences, and spent hours looking through the teambuilder library to find the teams with the most accurate uniforms. Finally, my task was complete. I started replacing teams, only to get my heart broken when I could only import 12 teams!!!! I realized I had been taken and had wasted the money on that useless feature.

I wonder if they will actually let you import all 120 teams into your dynasty this year. Also, I wonder if the new customizable dynasty mode will include an option for a playoff instead of bowls?

The answer is no. There'll still probably only be 12 teams you can import. The reason is because it's impossible to import 120 teams because of the limited RAM that EA is given to work with from the Xbox 360. Xbox 360 has 512mb of RAM, and with all the stuff EA has implemented in the game and the RAM that it is already using, it wouldn't be possible to import all 120 teams.

Also, it is unlikely that there will be a playoff option in this years game.

Just wanted to add that the PS3 only has 512MB RAM as well, of which only 256MB can be used for video resources, so it's not a lead console issue.

Re: Wonder about Teambuilder

The real question is will we be able to include more than 120 teams in dynasty, and use our TeamBuilder teams to add UTSA, Texas St., etc.

That's what I'm wondering as well, especially with the whole completely customizable conference thing.

The whole 12 team limit is the reason I wish they'd add in the FCS teams. That way the OP could just create the D-II conference his favorite team plays in then put FCS teams as the others. Wouldn't be perfect, but would still be better than putting those DII teams against FBS teams. I've done that in the past on the PS2 with the DIII NCAC and playing a dynasty against FCS teams offers up a nice change of pace and really increases the replay value of the game.

To me the whole point of Teambuilder is to replace the made up FCS teams which everyone hates. But EA don't seem to have gotten it yet.
