Even if teams recruit these various quarterbacks will the cpu use their quarterbacks to the players strengths. For instance, will I still see spread pocket passers running the read option just because those plays are in the play book, and will I see scrambling quarterbacks scramble more, and have read options called for them more often. Getting the CPU to recruit the right people is only the first step. Will the cpu know what plays work and don't work for the players they recruit, or am I going to have to edit the play book every year to achieve this even if it is just a handful of option runs.

That's exactly what I'm saying. Until coaches have the AI to change their PB and call plays based on their teams strength, these coaches are handcuffed to their current playbook and roster.

On a side note, "Dynamic PLaycalling" by the CPU coaches would be AMAZING if done right. I just don't think we're anywhere near that right now though

Malzahn at Auburn changed his style last year for Newton. So, normally, he has a more traditional guy in the offense at QB, but spread option teams can adjust.

Most of the passing spreads are listed as Air Raids anyway, so that should be okay. Ideally teams will recruit like this:

Option: Scrambling
Pistol: Balanced/Scrambling
Spread: Balanced/Scrambling
Air Raid: Pocket Passing
One Back: Pocket Passing/Balanced
Pro: Pocket Passing/Balanced
Run N Shoot: Pocket Passing

Rich Rodriguez has said passer or runner it doesn't matter.

Which is why every pocket passer on Michigan's roster headed for the hills as soon as he was hired?

The only QB who transferred because of the system was Mallett. Threet actually transferred to UM RR's 1st year, then saw the writing on the wall when Tate/Denard came in and left. Nick stayed until he graduated.

Ok, but still.. Rich Rod has not used a pocket passer in his offense successfully.. well, ever. Even before WV when he was an Asst., he had Woody Dantzler at Clemson and Shaun King at Tulane. He has never been able to prove that it does not matter.
