It's better than building a big stadium that you don't fill out. I'm wondering if it's gonna be in the game...

Is the old stadium being demolished?

Yeah, a stadium that is smaller but gets packed is more intimidating than one that is never full.

I never said a small stadium was a bad thing, but looking at renderings vs. seeing it on the inside, it just seems like they shrunk the grand stands down or renderings exaggerated a bit. You can have a small capacity but still have a stadium that appears rather large for the number of people.

Re: Sneak preview of UNT's New Stadium

part of UNT's problem was not that the current stadium was too big or too small.

IT wasn't up to modern standards. Visiting lockeroom lights going out, toilets not working, it was not attractive to any team to want to come here, and also adding an anemic football fanbase with horrible teams on the field, and you have crappy attendance numbers for a decade.

The New stadium should fix that problem with teams not feeling they are not treated right when they come here, and should be able to market to a bigger team coming in, which as has always been the case, the numbers will rise and the stadium will be full.

Judging by those pictures, it does look a tad smaller than the artistic representation but the overall premise is an improvement. No way the local highschool stadium should have better facilities than a D1 program.
