Madden appears to have taken a big leap forward because it was pretty blah for the last 3 years. NCAA 11 was significantly better than Madden 11.

Madden 12 looks to be a really good game (possibly great game), but NCAA 12 is no slouch. I can see the differences in the first series of pretty much every video. Are there lingering issues? Sure there are. At the same time, it appears they improved on an already solid product that I played over 250 games or more of.

Hey, for the first time in years we look to be getting two really good football games that we can play constantly. No complaints here.

Guess we'll have to agree to disagree. Looks the same to me.

Not that this is a bad thing, because '11 was great, but this looks exactly like last year's version. Save the 3D grass, Pac 12 logo and some minor things in the playcalling screen, it's almost indistinguishable.

Just horrible like they're in stealth mode or something. This tells you that the DL has no individual AI. They're not programmed to react to the play.

On these videos, I can see the differences right away, but I can also see how some may disagree.

When comparing Madden and NCAA 12, it is obvious they look different, but it is mainly in the presentation department. Madden 12 went all out with the broadcast package and camera angles. No doubt, it looks outstanding. However, when it comes to the actual play on the field, it does not look that much different than NCAA 12. I think we are all just wowed by the presentation of Madden 12 and rightfully so.

When it comes to gameplay though. Actual on the field action:

1) Running looks very similar and the ability to break it outside/break containment. Actually, Madden 12 looks iffy in this department at times.
2) Dropback nonsense is in both games for the user.
3) Zones and zone blitzes look the same.
4) Tackling animations look identical.
5) Throwing motions: Madden dominates in this department due to QBs having their own styles. Love that.
6) Receiver/DB interaction looks similar.
7) OL/DL interaction is on par with one another.
8) Playbooks both appear to be the best they have ever been.
9) Special teams look no different to me.

I think you get my point without being over the top and annoying. LOL

As I said before though, both games look to be a lot of fun and as realistic as we have seen from EA.

I still want to see some CPU defense against a user using the option in shotgun.....and I Know I'm not the only one... seems like they would have showed this by now unless they are hiding something.

I was excited to see Colorado get some love, but then I watched the video and whoever was controlling CU needs to "refine" their skills a bit.

Unfortunately that is what I was thinking. It seems like if they improved the effectiveness of the spread option offenses, that is something that would want to show off in these videos. Not seeing the spread option leads me to believe that it wasn't an area that was addressed.
